What 1,063 Michelin Restaurants Reveal About Wine
We analysed 356,512 wine list entries across 1,063 Michelin-starred restaurants in six regions worldwide in a joint study by WineLabs and In the Mood for Wine, a weekly publication on fine wine as an investment led by Sara Danese.
The wine menus of Michelin-starred restaurants matter analytically because they function as a proxy for elite market preferences, revealing how fine wine is priced, positioned and legitimised at the highest level of gastronomy.
