Rare Index is on a mission to make collectible markets transparent, measurable and data-driven. The platform tracks more than a million items across eight categories, including wine, and publishes indices, market signals and confidence scores for investors, collectors and institutions.
Rare Index lists data integrity and transparency among its core values, with source provenance and confidence scoring on its market data.
Vintage-specific requests, three images each
Rare Index requests imagery from Wine Labs Wine Label Imagery by LWIN identifier and vintage. For each wine and vintage it asks for three assets: the full bottle, the front label and the back label. Every request is vintage-specific, so a 2017 record is only matched with 2017 imagery.
Since September 2026, Rare Index has requested imagery for more than 1,000 vintages across about a hundred fine wines.
