Champagne, with its cold climate, famous limestone soils and magnificent history, is home to the world’s most famous sparkling wines. Family-owned for almost a century, Taittinger is one of the greatest independent Houses and Comtes de Champagne is their highly respected and revered prestige cuvée. Comtes de Champagne is made from 100% Chardonnay from Grand Cru villages in the Côte des Blancs - Avize, Cramant, Chouilly, Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger. This is a brilliant champagne and a textbook example of Blanc de Blancs at its best, displaying great intensity and acid line, with complex and classic toasty notes from over 10 years of aging in bottle. Krug is undisputably one of the greatest Champagne Houses, and Grande Cuvée the archetype of their craftsmanship and savoir-faire. This prestige cuvée is a blend of more than 120 wines from ten or more different years, The champagne is then aged for a further 6 years in the cellars prior to release. Over 20 years are needed to craft each bottle. Stylistically, Grande Cuvée combines power with finesse- a brilliant Champagne of great quality and individuality.

The Martinborough region in the south of New Zealand’s North Island is better known for Pinot Noir than Sauvignon Blanc. Be this as it may the quality of Sauvignon Blanc from this region can be outstanding – not as herbaceous and leafy as Marlborough to the south but slightly riper, fuller and more textured in style. Martinborough Vineyard was established in 1980 and is one of NZ’s most important fine wine producers. The wines are crafted by winemaker Paul Mason aided by viticulturalist, Dave Shepherd. Part of the blend is fermented in older oak barrels to give texture and complexity with the balance fermented in stainless steel tanks to capture freshness and vibrancy. A delicious but serious Sauvignon Blanc from a top producer.

Domaine du Château de Meursault is a historic 16th-century château that has been meticulously restored and modernized since its acquisition by the Halley family in 2012. The estate spans 65 hectares across prestigious sites in the Côte de Beaune, with Les Charmes Dessus standing out as one of Meursault’s most esteemed premier cru vineyards. The 2022 vintage was a resounding success, reflecting the warmth and generosity of the season, balanced by the precise and skillful winemaking of Stéphane Follin-Arbelet. The domaine’s dedication to expressing terroir through attentive viticulture and thoughtful vinification shines in this wine. Ripe stone fruits, white flowers, and citrus flavors are beautifully complemented by fresh acidity and a generous, lingering finish. This is a vibrant, joyful wine that delivers immediate pleasure while possessing the structure for graceful aging.

A distinguished Grand Cru Pinot Noir from the celebrated vineyards of Gevrey-Chambertin in Burgundy. Wines from Charmes-Chambertin are known for their fragrant character and soft, expressive fruit, often showing both charm and depth with age . This wine presents a deep ruby colour with lifted aromas of red berries, rose petals and gentle spice. It reveals a refined structure with silky, polished tannins and layers of cherry and dark fruit, complemented by subtle floral and earthy notes. The texture is smooth and harmonious, carrying through to a long, elegant finish with impressive balance and finesse.

This splendid estate covering 80 hectares of vines in the best part of the Médoc was named a Second Growth in 1855 and has retained this high status ever since. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc are harvested at their peak of ripeness to make this classic Saint-Julien wine which has been described as “quintessential claret.” Carmine-ruby in colour, with fragrantly intense aromas of red and black berries, this rich combination of fruit on the palate is balanced by an elegantly firm finish.

With twenty years of cask aging, this Port has acquired a gorgeous aroma of dried flowers, toffee, sweet spices and dried figs. The tannins have softened and evolved into a silky texture with subtle, layered flavours that are persistent on the finish. A beautifully balanced Port that can be enjoyed on its own or with cheese or dessert.

Remarkably, over 40% of the blend is made up of older reserve wines which gives Charles Heidsieck its distinctive complexity, richness and maturity. These attributes have ensured that their Brut Réserve has been the standout performer at many of the top international wine competitions in recent years.

Clarendelle Bordeaux 2020 is a classic Right-Bank-leaning Bordeaux blend crafted for balance and approachability. Deep ruby in colour, the wine opens with aromas of ripe cherry, plum and blackcurrant, layered with subtle floral notes and gentle spice. The palate is medium-bodied and supple, showing dark berry fruit, hints of pepper and soft oak, supported by fine-grained tannins. The 2022 Mâcon‑Bussières “Les Clos” by Joseph Drouhin comes from the rolling limestone hills of southern Burgundy’s Mâconnais, a region prized for lively, fruit‑driven Chardonnay. In the glass it shows a pale straw color and aromas of white peach, lemon blossom, and white flowers. The palate is fresh and focused, with crisp green apple, citrus zest, and a flinty mineral thread.

The Barossa Valley north of Adelaide is one of Australia’s most famous wine regions. Here, the climate is warm, dry and well suited to red grape varieties – particularly Shiraz. Sons of Eden began in 2000 and is a partnership between viticulturalist, Simon Cowham and winemaker Cory Ryan. Together, the "sons” have forged a reputation as innovative producers of high quality, small-batch wines made from some of the region’s most prized vineyards. This deeply colored full-bodied wine shows classic Barossa richness, ripeness and softness.

Lawson’s Dry Hills is a well-known producer from Marlborough, the region that helped make New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc famous around the world. The cool maritime climate and long growing season allow the grapes to develop vibrant aromatics while retaining their natural freshness. The 2024 Reserve Sauvignon Blanc captures this distinctive Marlborough style beautifully. The wine is bright and aromatic, with lively notes of passionfruit, citrus and tropical fruit, lifted by delicate hints of fresh herbs and flowers. Crisp and refreshing in character, it combines juicy fruit with a clean mineral edge and a gentle lift of acidity. This Lirac reflects the sunny Mediterranean climate and mineral-rich soils of the right bank of the Rhône, combining power, elegance and classic southern Rhône character. A classic Southern Rhône red from the historic house of Victor Bérard, blending Grenache and Syrah. The wine displays a deep, intense red colour. On the nose it offers complex aromas of cherry, raspberry and strawberry, layered with sweet spices, subtle herbs and gentle leather-like depth. On the palate the wine is full-bodied and well-balanced, with rounded tannins and a smooth texture. Bright yellow-gold in colour, on the nose, the wine opens with inviting aromas of ripe stone fruit, honey and yellow peach, layered with gentle oak nuances. The palate is juicy and elegant, showing sweet pineapple, apricot and tropical fruit flavours supported by well-integrated acidity that keeps the profile lively rather than heavy. Subtle notes of caramel, spice and citrus add depth, while the texture remains smooth and polished. The finish lingers with honeyed fruit and a delicate freshness, making it approachable yet structured. Crafted predominantly from Sémillon with Sauvignon Blanc, this wine captures the classic botrytised style of Sauternes, combining opulence with balance and a long, graceful persistence.
